Ode to my mother

Posted

The tears that fell silently
In the dark night where no one can see
She understood how hard life may be
Smiling to feel the house with glee
Even if it’s not that easy.

Woke up early in the morning
Sleep late in the tranquil evening
Do anything, in charge of everything
Rough hands, not even tiring
Pure heart, forever caring.

Screams when you did wrong
And sometimes sound like a banging gong
Cause all she wanted was for you to be righteous
To be somehow courageous
Preparing you to whatever you choose.

She wipes your tears, and drown your fears
Though she grieves where no one hears
Making sure everyone she dears
Will conquer their fears
Come the day she leaves.

Sooner, she’ll be out of my touch
We’ll not eat together at lunch
However, whenever, wherever
I’m proud to have her as my mother
I love her today until forever.
