Going back to the old
Forgiven, yet again sinned
Hopeless I have always been.
I desired to pray
For I was led astray
Longing to say I’m sorry
Father, please forgive me.
Down on my knees
I tried to speak
But my voice trembles
My body tumbles.
Numerous sins
For Your blessings
Disobedience
For your goodness.
Transgressions too pressing
Punishment I’m awaiting
Lord, do strike me
For my sins are too heavy.
Then, i tried to run away
Knowing I don’t deserve You
But you held me tight
With a loving embrace, You said
“Son, my love for you stays.”
